Planning with 199A & Stretch Demise from an Insurance Perspective

This presentation will discuss two topics. The first topic will be a general overview of the recently enacted 199A regulations, and the second topic will describe alternatives to an inherited stretch IRA technique. In the 199A portion of the presentation, in addition to providing an overview of the qualified business income deduction there will be a discussion on how using this knowledge can help your clients address business life insurance goals. The second part of the presentation provides a discussion of various techniques that can be used in the event the stretch IRA is not available. This part of the discussion will include examples where life insurance may be part of the solution.

Speaker: Terri Getman, JD, CLU, ChFC, RICP, AEP (Dist.), Diversified Brokerage Services Inc.,
