Fight Back against the Hack: Cybersecurity Insurance for FSP Members
Cyberattacks and data breaches are on the rise, and the financial services industry ranks among the top five targets for cyber criminals. It’s not just a concern for the large corporations you see on the news; financial services companies of all sizes are the targets of hackers from all over the world. Even a data breach – which can be as simple as an employee error, system glitch or even a lost or stolen laptop or phone with data – can have disastrous consequences. The situation has resulted in new data security compliance and regulations in many states as well as national enforcement. This presentation will focus on the risks affecting our industry, including FSP members, and discuss why every business needs a plan in place to deal with cyber threats. The speaker will reveal steps a business can take to guard against these unprecedented risks. The benefits of the FSP cybersecurity insurance plan will also be presented.
Attendees will learn:

Why the situation is projected to get worse
The impact of the Internet of Things (IOT)
The role of the dark web
The difference between a cyber breach and a data breach
Actions to take when you have a breach
State and federal regulation, laws, and penalties
