The presentation will focus on transferring the billions of dollars in tax-deferred assets to the next generation. We will explore the tax consequences under the new tax law in transferring both qualified and nonqualified assets. The audience will have useable, practical ideas to talk with clients about planning strategies that can reduce the tax burden for the client and the beneficiary of the asset. Talking about alternatives to simple wealth transfer builds trust, which can result in client retention and engagement with the next generation of clients.
Attendees will learn:
- Strategies to engage the next generation by bringing them into the conversation.
- How to put the IRS in the back of the line for nonqualified assets.
- How to create a legacy that transfers values, not just assets.
- How to use assets to mitigate tax-deferred income taxation.
